We are very blessed to be able to have Esme & Alice both start Suzuki piano lessons. Suzuki is a special, Japanese method. One uniqueness is the children learn to play by ear and are introduced to the symbols and reading music later. The only Suzuki teacher in our area happens to be my lovely Relief Society president, and dear friend, Irene.

There is a waiting list a mile l o n g and we were very excited when Esme's turn came up. The mothers have 5 lessons first so we can learn the basics because we practice w/the child. During the first lesson I just felt wrong. I tried to listen and ponder this strange feeling. Irene then mentioned about how Suzuki can be taught to children as young as three.

My thoughts immediately turned to my little Alice who is such a special child! She needs so much attention, and really can hardly focus at all! Edward & I had been trying to find her a suitable "outlet" for quite awhile. After two days of praying & pondering I decided to call Irene & switch Alice for Esme. Miraculously she had one spot where she could fit Alice & that was the one spot that worked with our schedule. What a blessing to have them both learning!
