My birthday started out pretty rough and by lunchtime I realized it was more appropriate that I celebrate my 5th birthday instead of my 28th. That's how mature I was being! Edward was camping with the scouts, I had to do soccer games without him, clean the house, and make my own birthday dinner. The real me wanted to be grateful that I have a husband who magnifies his calling and grateful that the weather was just perfect for soccer, and grateful that my mother-in-law came to the soccer games to help, and grateful that my whole family called and sang to me. But, I was still feeling pretty rough. It was a tender mercy though because each time I thought I was going to sit down and cry (it was more a grouchy cry than a sad cry) one of my family would call and cheer me up. Just before Edward came home Merrill called and I just so happened to change my shirt... which happens often as a mother. Well, I'm talking to Merrill about the BYU game that I wasn't getting to watch and I saw my BYU football jersey hanging up. That's right... that's what I changed in to. From then on my day got a lot, lot better!

Esme was so sweet and quickly helped me tidy up, wanting to help me on my birthday!! Alice wasn't to productive, but played happily. Edward came home and washed up and worked very hard the rest of the day to make sure it was special!

He grilled these yummy fillets for dinner. Here is my birthday dinner...

He surprised me by asking Grandma to make a fruit pizza. He was being so thoughtful!! He knows I workout hard each morning and I didn't want a huge desert to spoil my hard work. He thought it would be a bit healthier than my much loved chocolate cake with homemade chocolate frosting!!!! (It isn't. Shhh! We won't tell him!) Notice the blueberry 28!

Actually, it's not fair. Edward and I got that for our joint birthday, but I got to open it. Thanks, dear! Let the music begin!!

The evening finished off with the Panda kung foo movie and Grandma, Grandpa, and Edward cleaning to kitchen and doing the dishes! I loved it!
