During our holiday we visited the Butterfly Museum. Someone told us that if we took vanilla & rubbed it on us the butterflies would smell it & flutter near us. So we did!
Here are some gorgeous butterflies enjoying a plate of fruit. That's my type of lunch!
Renesmee was by far the most popular & I think it was because of her orange shirt. I noticed that the butterflies favored the large orange flowers, too.
The vanilla definitely helped! We learned that if we put it on our fingers and placed our still fingers near a standing butterfly it would walk onto our fingers.
Esme quickly mastered the skill and would then pass the butterfly on.
