When we were young Mother would make a Christmas train out of cookies, life savers, & popcorn for our school teacher's Christmas gift. I always felt so special as I carefully walked though the school hallways to my class. It was complete with candy filled cars & a popcorn smoke stack! Each Christmas we spend together, we make a family train. Mother is, of course, the master chef with her egg white icing, nasty but makes perfect snow & glue!

The kids each created a car. Here Grandpa is tutoring Alice.

Esme & her cousin are using their inner, creative powers!

I think Mom & my sister were more carried away with creative energy than the kids were. They worked forever to make it just right, put on finishing touches, and to stabilize & re-stabilize the falling over cars!
