Today I had Eclipse playing on my computer in the kitchen while I made bread & dinner. The girls have only caught carefully approved clips of any of these movies... yet they always seem to pick up much more than I think they will. After watching Bella with both Edward & Jacob Alice walks over to me and with a very concentrated expression on her almost-six-year-old-face says, "I'm a lot like the girl in that movie."
Suppressing my grin, "Really. How are you like her?"
"Well, I am having a really hard time deciding whether I should marry Trent or James. I love them both & I can't decide."
I chose not to tease her, frowned and agreed, "it is hard, isn't it."
"Yeah."
"I'm glad you have a lot of time before you have to decide."
"Me too," and she skipped out of the kitchen.
James & Trent are two of the cutest boys you'll ever meet. They are darling, and very smart, and her very best friends! She has been trying to decide between them for a year... or more.
I love my little Alice more than I can say! She is so very innocent & wants to believe the best in the world. She is so ridiculously happy & imaginative that she sometimes doesn't notice when her games get completely out of control. Like today she & Jennifer were giggling like mad in the game room! After enjoying the sound I walked in and my chin dropped in horror. The couch had been de-cushioned & moved across the room (literally), there were gold fish EVERYWHERE, and blocks and every other toy stored in there were strewn across the floor. In her absolute joy, she didn't realize that in the real world we don't destroy a room like this, and if her two year old sister has an idea like throwing gold fish in the air she should probably counsel her not to, and we definitely shouldn't move heavy furniture, all after mother specifically told us to make good choices! That's my Alice!
And, she lost her first tooth!
